Kalkine | Viking Mines (ASX:VKA) Reports Linka Drilling Readiness and Processing Progress

Viking Mines Limited (ASX:VKA) , in its quarterly report for the period ended 30 June 2026, has outlined significant progress across its flagship Linka Tungsten Project in Nevada, USA, alongside corporate initiatives designed to advance its critical minerals strategy. The update highlighted advancements in metallurgical and processing studies, drilling approvals and exploration targeting, positioning the company to progress its fast-track development strategy for the US-based tungsten asset.

Subsequent to the quarter, the company released Linka concept processing study. The concept processing study for Linka scheelite mineralisation outlined a conventional modular processing pathway, providing a technical foundation for the upcoming maiden drilling campaign and future resource evaluation. The study recommended offsite fabrication of modular plant units to reduce on-site construction time, with an estimated 15-month procurement, fabrication, and assembly schedule.

A design basis of 300,000 tonnes per annum was established for the processing plant, alongside conservative metallurgical assumptions of 60% scheelite recovery into a 50% WO concentrate. The findings complement recent testwork, support future scoping studies, and strengthen the project's technical development pathway following resource definition.
