Viking Mines Ltd (ASX:VKA) has completed an independent concept processing study for its Linka Tungsten Project in Nevada, USA, outlining a conventional modular processing pathway for scheelite mineralisation. Conducted by Mineral Technologies, the study establishes a technical framework to support future resource evaluation and maiden drilling campaign.

Independent Study Defines Processing Pathway

The study evaluated indicative capital and operating cost estimates, along with projected construction timelines, for a modular processing plant designed to treat scheelite-bearing mineralisation from the Linka Project and produce a marketable tungsten concentrate.

The process facility design is based on off-site fabrication of modular plant components, an approach aimed at reducing on-site construction time. The study highlights that procurement, fabrication and assembly of the processing plant modules could take around 15 months. The estimate comprises 12 months for fabrication and procurement followed by three months for on-site assembly. The company noted that this timeframe relates only to the process plant modules and does not represent the overall project development schedule.
